Okay, here's my take on the faculty web directory issue:
We want every faculty member to have a webpage that is linked to the personnel directory already on the Gav website. It could have a picture, a short biography, a list of classes taught for the current semester, office hours, and a link to a more personal page. Plus contact info (email and phone number). Every page would have the same format, same colors, look exactly the same.
In addition, from the hhh server, faculty (full and part-time) could have their own personally designed pages.
Is this how everyone else sees this?

post or publish
posting only - gives us the chance to change our minds and kill flames we might have the urge to send in a moment of passion
To begin, just click and start typing in the big white box in the top of the page. When you're done with your post (or just want to save what you have so far), hit the Post button in the upper right, beneath the tabs. This will save it to your account. When you are ready for the entry to show up on your webpage, click the Publish button. If you want to do both of these steps at once, use the Post & Publish button.

My first blog post
Hi there. Just checking to see how this works, at this point. I'm not sure I understand where this blog posting goes when it's "published." What's the difference between posting and publishing? Is there a different website this is appearing on when we publish, or do we only get into that if we decide to have the paid version?
